Alicia Kenworthy, a recent graduate of Georgetown University in Washington D.C., is still in the process of figuring out her life. As such, she plans to do some serious introspection while driving around in her shiny new magenta Ford Fiesta for 6 months (and, OK, some serious singing along to the radio at the top of her lungs, too). As someone passionate about social media, she has attended dozens of web conferences and meetups from Paris to San Francisco. True to her inner Francophile, she adopted the nickname “Alicia l’Américaine” when she began blogging from France in December 2007, and has since developed a presence on a myriad of other social networks, including Twitter (@aliciamk), Facebook, and Seesmic, where she interned in the summer of 2008. Though she spends much of her life online, Alicia has done some pretty cool stuff “in real life”, as well. You may have heard her occasionally on Hot 99.5’s KANE Show last fall, or read her previous contributions to the tri-weekly publication News From France. When she grows up, she wants to be a documentary film maker, a country music star, editor-in-chief of Cosmopolitan magazine, a celebrity publicist for Billy Ray Cyrus, a French professor, a foreign service officer to Turkey and an entrepreneur - but not necessarily in that order.
