After-school programs are what save kids from hours in front of the television, eating Doritos and avoiding their homework. Find a school near you that offers kids something fun and educational to do with their afternoon and volunteer to be a part of it for a day. Maybe you’ll get to re-live your elementary school days, playing 4-square and tetherball, helping out some young’uns in the process. In addition to your spirit of helpfulness, you’ll get to give them $500, which will go along way toward keeping the youth of today off the boob tube.
